David Pfeil grew up in Dallas, Texas. Where he attended Kimball High School in Oak Cliff and was a member of the varsity soccer team for four years. He grew up playing his youth club soccer career with the Comets Soccer Club in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the North Texas ODP Program, selected to the Region III and to the USYSA National Youth Team from 1983-1988.

David attended Southern Methodist University, on a soccer scholarship, he was the team captain and lettered all four years on the men’s varsity team.

David competed in the 1987 U-20 World Cup held in Chile and was a member of the U.S. Amateur Team. He played for the Dallas Rockets semi-pro team from 1991-94 and drafted to the Major Indoor Soccer League by the Dallas Sidekicks.

David began coaching youth soccer in 1992 with the ’79 girls team for the Bluestreaks Soccer Club and the ’80 boys team for the Flame Soccer Club.

In 1994, David joined the D’Feeters Soccer Club, he became the trainer and assistant coach for the ’79 and ’80 D’Feeters teams. And in 1998, together with H.G. Doyle, became the coach and trainer for the ’82 D’Feeters team.

In 2005, after the ’87 D’Feeters graduation, David, became the head coach of the ’93 D’Feeters
