David Pfeil grew up in Dallas, Texas. Where he attended Kimball High School in Oak Cliff and was a member of the varsity soccer team for four years. He grew up playing his youth club soccer career with the Comets Soccer Club in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the North Texas ODP Program, selected to the Region III ODP team and to the USYSA National Youth Team from 1983-1988.
David attended Southern Methodist University on a soccer scholarship, he was the team captain and a four year starter on the men’s varsity team.
David competed in the 1987 U-20 World Cup Championships held in Chile and was a member of the U.S. Amateur Team. He played for the Dallas Rockets semi-pro team from 1991-94 and drafted to the Major Indoor Soccer League by the Dallas Sidekicks.
