Kim Harvey Colon - Coach/Trainer

Kim is a native of Garland, TX where she grew up playing club soccer. Kim played for Sting Soccer Club, where she was a five-year captain of the Sting ’83 team. Kim helped her team to a number of State and Regional Championships. In 2000, she helped her team finish third at the USYSA National Championships. Kim was also a member of the USYSA ODP Region III team for three years.
Kim played soccer at Southern Methodist University where she is the 2nd leading goal scorer (67) of all time and 3rd all time for career points (156). She received All-WAC honors from 2000-2003. She was named WAC Freshman of the Year in 2000, First-Team All-WAC in 2000, 2001, and 2003, and WAC Tournament MVP in 2003. Kim’s senior season she was honored for both her play and academics as she was named to the First Team NSCAA All-Central Region and the NSCAA Academic All-American Team.
Kim began coaching club soccer as the assistant coach for Sting ’90. Kim has been a head girl’s high school soccer coach since 2004. Her first two years were at Sachse High School where she led the girls to the Regional Finals in just their second year of varsity soccer.
Currently, she is the varsity soccer head coach for Wakeland High School in Frisco, Texas.
