About The D'Feeters

The D’Feeters Soccer Club is based in Farmers Branch, Texas, just north of Dallas, Texas, USA. The D’Feeters is affiliated with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Soccer Association (CFBSA), the North Texas State Soccer Association (NTSSA), the US Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), which in turn is affiliated with FIFA. 

The D’Feeters Soccer Club provides training and player development to qualified players to assist them in advancing to play at the highest levels of play available in the state, region and nationally.  D’Feeters coaching staff has produced players that have risen above the club level playing for colleges throughout the nation including US National Youth teams.

 

The D’Feeters Soccer Club is unique in that it’s not a collection of individual teams in each age group, it’s unique in that it may be the only all female club structure with only a single team per age group.

 


Club History

The D’Feeters Soccer Club, a non-profit organization founded in 1978, has grown to be one of the most successful all-female clubs in the nation. The Club takes pride in the fact that it has produced many college players and scholarship athletes with a large percentage of graduates receiving scholarship offers to colleges.

Currently, the D’Feeters Soccer Club has eight youth select teams, one collegiate team and one women’s amateur team. Our youth teams participate in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League. The LHGCL is considered by many to be the strongest girls youth soccer league in the United States.

D’Feeters teams have won North Texas State Cup Championships as well as Southern Regional Championships at the youth and women’s levels.  D’Feeters teams have competed for USYSA/USASA National Championships on eleven occasions, winning the USYSA National Championship in 1981; Third in 1986; Fourth in 1996; Third in 2000; Third in 2001 and Third in 2008. Second in the USASA National Championship in the Under-23 Division in 1998 and 1999; Second in the Women’s Amateur Division in 2000, 2004 and winning the USASA National Championship in the Amateur Division in 2008. And, First place in the 1998 Kellogg’s U/14 Girls National Championship.

D’Feeters teams have participated and won hundreds of local, regional and national tournaments since the founding of the club. They have traveled all over the United States winning such prestigious tournaments as WAGS tournament in Washington D.C., Junior Orange Bowl (Orange Classic) in Florida, Disney Showcase in Florida, USA Cup in Minnesota, Pikes Peak Invitational in Colorado Springs, Pineapple Cup in Honolulu, Surf Cup in San Diego and The Dallas Cup in Texas.

D’Feeters teams have had great success in international competition as well. Over the years, D’Feeters teams have won the Dana Cup in Denmark, the Oslo Cup in Norway, the Gothia Cup in Sweden, the Robbie Cup in Canada and the Honk Kong Cup in Hong Kong. In 1987, as ambassadors of the USA, the ’70 D’Feeters team was invited to travel as a guest of the Peoples Republic of China for 27 days, playing regional and national Chinese teams.

D’Feeters players have gone on to play for numerous college and university programs throughout the United States. These  include; University of North Carolina, Southern Methodist University, Harvard University, Duke University, North Carolina State University, University of Notre Dame, University of Texas, University of Georgia, Texas Christian University, University of Florida, Kansas University, University of Alabama/Birmingham, University of Tennessee, University of Washington, University of San Diego, George Mason University, Brown University, Marshall University, Yale University, University of Virginia, University of Colorado, Texas A&M University and many others.

The knowledgeable and dedicated coaching staff for the D’Feeters Soccer Club has for many years been producing players who are highly recruited by colleges and universities throughout the United States.
