Coaching Director
Hugh Bradford - Coach/Trainer - USSF National
"C" License
Hugh Bradford is a native of
Kingston, Jamaica. Where he attended school and started his youth club soccer playing
career and ended in the professional league. Hugh has been involved in youth and adult
soccer as a player and a coach for most of his life.
Throughout the years, Hugh has
attended numerous coaching clinics, seminars and camps, receiving numerous coaching
awards. Currently he holds a USSF National "C" Coaching Badge.
From 1988 through 1993, Hugh
coached and trained the '77 Mustangs girls team, a first division Lake highlands Girls
Classic team from Arlington, Texas.
In 1993, Hugh joined the
coaching staff of the D'Feeters Soccer Club as assistant coach and trainer with '81
D'Feeters team. In 1995, Hugh took on more responsibilities in the club, as a youth
trainer for all camps and clinics as well as a giving private lessons to all the young
ladies in the D'Feeters Soccer Club.
From 1997 through 2004, Hugh
coached the '86 D'Feeters, he led them to numerous tournament championships and
assisted in placing them into some of the top college programs in the country.
In 2004, Hugh became the head
coach of the '90 D'Feeters. He coached them to two North Texas State championships (2005,
2007), one Region III Premier League West Championship (2005) and numerous tournament
championships.
In 2005, Hugh took a second
team and became the head coach of the '92 D'Feeters.
In 2007, Hugh Bradford became
the first Coaching Director of the D'Feeters Soccer Club.

Meagan Wilson - Assistant Coach/Trainer - USSF
National "C" LicenseMeagan Wilson is Dallas native where she attended Duncanville High School
and was a member of the Texas Lightning Soccer Club for four years.
She attended East Central University, where she
played for four years as the starting goalkeeper. She was the Tigers captain her junior
and senior seasons. As a senior, she earned a spot on the 2004 Lone Star Conference
All-Tournament team and was named LSC Defensive Player of the Week. She had three shutout
victories in 2004 and was second in the conference in total saves with 120. She also led
the league in saves per game with a 6.67 average. After graduation, she served as the
graduate assistant coach.
She is currently the assistant coach at Texas
Woman's University in Denton, Texas, she replaced Tamura Crawley at TWU and as the
D'Feeters '90 assistant coach and trainer.

Steve Woodward - Coach - USSF/NTX National "D"
LicenseSteve
Woodward has over 18 years experience in girls competitive soccer. His playing
career extends for over 20 years and is currently a member of an men's soccer team.
Steve began his soccer
coaching and managing career like most of us, by coaching his daughters with the Armadillo
Soccer Club located in Highland Park.
Steve joined the D'Feeters
Soccer Club as coach of the '79 D'Feeters team in 1987. His two youngest daughters joined
the club the same year and played until their high school graduation. Vanessa ('78 team) and Jennie ('79 team) are
currently playing at the University of Alabama/Birmingham both on soccer scholarships.
Steve was elected president,
director of camps and clinics for the D'Feeters Soccer Club in 1990. In 1996, Steve became
the assistant coach of the '86 D'Feeters team.
In 1998 and 1999 Steve
coached our first women's team , the Under 23 D'Feeters to a Southern Regional
Championship and a third place finish in 1998 and a second place finish in 1999 at the
USASA Nationals.
Currently, Steve the the
head coach of the '91 D'Feeters, a team he brought from Plano select to LH Classic League
DI and Premier League team.
Steve Woodward is the
D'Feeters Soccer Club College Director in charge of all our players college exposure and
placement, he travels with them to tournaments/showcases such as WAGS, Orange Classic,
Surf Cup, Shoot-Out Showcase, etc. to promote our players and to answer all questions
asked by the college coaches.

Stewart
Brown - Coach/Trainer - USSF National "B" LicenseStewart Brown is a native of Paisley, Scotland,
where he grew up playing soccer in school and in club level.
Stewart experienced a successful two year playing career at Queens Park
Rangers Football Club in London, England one of the top clubs in old First Division (now
the English Premier League). A starter on a team that reached the last eight of the F.A.
Youth Club and was also fortunate to be part of the Scottish National squad (national
pool) at the under 15, 16 and 18 age groups.
Stewart was the
Director of Soccer at NCAA II institution, Limestone College. He managed the womens
soccer program from 1997 to 2003 and the mens program from 2000 to 2003. The
womens program was in its second year when he took over as head coach. The program
progressed with many honors and achievements during his tenure. In 1997 the program
received its first Regional Play-off invitation, was the 6th most improved team
in the NCAA, achieved the programs first NSCAA Regional ranking as well as placing 8
student-athletes on the All-CVAC awards list, and two NSCAA All-Region awards.
In 2001, Stewart was named the Carolina
and Virginia Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for both the Mens and
Womens Programs. These honors were the first to be awarded to the same coach in the
same year. Also, he was involved with the South Carolina Olympic Development
Programs and a member of the Region III ODP Staff while in at Limestone College.
From 2003-2007, Stewart was the assistant
coach for the women's program at Southern Methodist University. During his tenure at SMU,
Stewart was responsible for the goalkeepers, as well as the defensive aspects of the team.
In 2006, goalkeeper Ashley Gunter was named NSCAA All-American, which is the first
All-American at SMU since 1996. Stewart holds the National Diploma, Advanced National
Diploma and Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and
has been a member of the NSCAA since 1997.
From 2004-2006, Stewart was a member of
the coaching staff of the Sting Soccer Club, he coached the '90 team.
Stewart joined the D'Feeters '91 team in
2007.

Jill Verhalen - Assistant Coach/Trainer -
USSF/NTX National "D" LicenseJill Verhalen is a Dallas native where she attended Plano West High
School and played for Sting 83. She was a team captain and won two State
Championships in 2000 and 2001 at Plano West. Jill was named to the All-Area soccer team
in 2001, as well as the District MVP. While with Sting 83, Jill played in the 2000
National Championship.
Jill attended Southern Methodist University
from 2001 to 2004. During this time, Jill was named to the All Conference Team all four
years and All Tournament team three years. She was the WAC Freshman of the Year in 2001
and finished third in assists all time at SMU. SMU played in the NCAA Tournament all four
years from 2001 to 2004.
Currently, Jill is the assistant soccer
coach at Wakeland High School in Frisco.
She joined the DFeeters 91 team
in July 2006.

Brian Beddow - Assistant
Coach/Trainer - USSF National "C" LicenseBrian is a native of Mesquite, Texas. While attending North
Mesquite High School he was a three year letterman and All-District player on the varsity
soccer team that went to the state tournament two years.
He was also an all-state place kicker in football,
and he also player for Solar Soccer Club in the NDC Classic League. Brian chose to play
football in college where he was an All-Conference, Academic All-Conference, and
all-American place kicker at Hardin Simmons University.
Brian has been a head girls high school
coach for nine years. His first two years were at Amarillo High where he led the girls to
two straight Area Championships. He spent the next six years as the head coach at Keller
Fossil Ridge where he led the team to four playoff appearances.
Brian is currently the girls head coach at Carrollton Creekview High
School.
Brian holds a USSF National "C" Coaching
License and an NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

David
Pfeil - Coach/Trainer - USSF/NTX National "D" LicenseDavid Pfeil grew up in Dallas,
Texas. Where he attended Kimball High School in Oak Cliff and was a member of the varsity
soccer team for four years. He grew up playing his youth club soccer career with the
Comets Soccer Club in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of the North Texas ODP Program,
selected to the Region III and to the USYSA National Youth Team from 1983-1988.
David attended Southern
Methodist University, on a soccer scholarship, he was the team captain and lettered all
four years on the men's varsity team.
David competed in the 1987
U-20 World Cup held in Chile and was a member of the U.S. Amateur Team. He played for the
Dallas Rockets semi-pro team from 1991-94 and drafted to the Major Indoor Soccer League by
the Dallas Sidekicks.
David began coaching youth
soccer in 1992 with the '79 girls team for the Bluestreaks Soccer Club and the '80 boys
team for the Flame Soccer Club.
In 1994, David joined the
D'Feeters Soccer Club, he became the trainer and assistant coach for the '79 and '80
D'Feeters teams. And in 1998, together with H.G. Doyle, became the coach and trainer for
the '82 D'Feeters team.
In 2005, after the '87
D'Feeters graduation, David, became the head coach of the '93 D'Feeters...

Laura Pfeil - Assistant Coach/Trainer - USSF National "C"
LicenseLaura grew up playing youth soccer in North Texas as a member of
the D'Feeters Soccer Club 79 team and was a member of the NTSSA ODP team, USYSA
Regional Team and USYSA National Youth Team.
Laura attended Bishop Lynch High
School, were she lettered for four years and was recipients of the Dallas Morning News
All-Area team, NSCAA High School All-American, TCIL All-State, TCIL All-District and many
other awards.
Laura played collegiate soccer at
Southern Methodist University were she was captain of the team her junior and senior
years, and was named to the NCAA All-American team.
From 1994-97, she coached the
DFeeters 79 and lead them to the USYSA National Championships in 1996 as an
U/17 team. One of her most memorable coaching experiences was when the D'Feeters 79
came from a 2-0 deficit at halftime against the Atlanta Tophatters to win 5-3 and claim
the Regional Championship. In 2004-05, she was an assistant coach with the DFeeters
87.
Currently, Laura teaches Anatomy
& Physiology and Chemistry at Bishop Lynch High School where she coached the Bishop
Lynch High School varsity girls soccer team for 6 years.
Laura is married to David Pfeil
and is the assistant coach for the D'Feeters '93. By far, the greatest coaching experience
of her career has been, up to this point, coaching the D'feeters '93, and if you ask her
how she feels about the team, she will simply tell you: "A great team beats with one
heart, and this is the DFeeters '93's".

Kim Harvey Colon - Coach - USSF/NTX
National "D" LicenseKim is a native of Garland, TX where she grew up playing
club soccer. Kim played for Sting Soccer Club, where she was a five-year captain of the
Sting '83 team, Kim helped her team to a number of State and Regional Championships. In
2000, she helped her team finish third at the USYSA National Championships. Kim was also a
member of the USYSA ODP Region III team for three years.
Kim played soccer at Southern Methodist University
where she is the 2nd leading goal scorer (67) of all time and 3rd all time for career
points (156). She received All-WAC honors from 2000-2003. She was named WAC Freshman of
the Year in 2000, First-Team All-WAC in 2000, 2001, and 2003, and WAC Tournament MVP in
2003. Kim's senior season she was honored for both her play and academics as she was named
to the First Team NSCAA All-Central Region and the NSCAA Academic All-American Team.
Kim began coaching club soccer as the assistant
coach for Sting '90. Kim has been a head girl's high school soccer coach for three years.
Her first two years were at Sachse High School where she led the girls to the Regional
Finals in just their second year of varsity soccer. She currently is the head coach for
the first year program at Wakeland High School in Frisco, Texas.
Kim is currently the head coach of the '94
D'Feeters team.

Shea Wilder - Coach/Trainer -
USSF National "A" LicenseShea Wilder was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He started playing
soccer at the age of five and played his youth career in the boys Classic League for the
following teams:
U12 thru U18 - Dallas Titans coached by Dick Hall, State Champions 3 years and Regional
Champion 2 of those years. Won many prestigious tournaments and the Classic League many
times.

many others. Throughout the years, he has attended numerous coaching clinics, seminars and
camps receiving numerous coaching awards.

"D" Coaching License and is working on his USSF "C" National License.
Also, he is currently a grade 7 referee and is working towards his grade 6 state license.

the D'Feeters/Turbo women's open team, where she has been a part of numerous state and
regional championships.
She is a grade 8 North Texas referee for
the Classic Boys, Lake Highlands Girls, Adult Co-ed, Adult Womens and UIL High
schools games.
April is currently a professor at the
University of North Texas in the Kinesiology department.

Franck M'bemba - Coach/Trainer - USSF/NTX National
"A" LicenseFranck
is a native of Brazzaville,
Congo, he is a former MISL soccer player and he brings a wealth of soccer experience to
his coaching efforts. Franck has played for his home National team in the Congo, MISL
Kansas City Comets, MISL St. Louis Streamers, "A" Leagues Atlanta
Silverbacks, Vasas SC (1st division in Hungary), Sion FC Suisse, Csepel, and on the Kotoko
National Team. He currently holds a USSF "A" license and has proven his ability
to teach the skills that he used to excel as a professional soccer player all across the
globe.

Jeff
Pappas - Coach/Trainer - USSF National "C" LicenseJeff Pappas is a native of Dallas, Texas. Where he
attended school and started his youth club soccer playing career. He grew up playing club
soccer for the Dallas Comets Soccer Club and he attended Thomas Jefferson High School
where he was a four year starter for the varsity program.
Throughout the years, Jeff has attended
numerous coaching clinics, seminars and camps, receiving numerous coaching awards.
Currently he holds a USSF National "C" Coaching Badge.
Jeff attended Hardin Simmons University on
a soccer scholarship, he was a starting forward and a four year letterman for the men's
varsity soccer program.
In 1990, Jeff joined the coaching staff
of the D'Feeters Soccer Club:
1990-92 - Assistant coach and trainer with '79 D'Feeters team.
1992-95 - Assistant coach and trainer for the '77 D'Feeters team.
1995-97 - Assistant coach and trainer for the '78 D'Feeters team.
1997-99 - Head coach and trainer for the '85 D'Feeters team.
1997-01 - Assistant coach and trainer for the '83 D'Feeters team.
2001-04 - Assistant coach and trainer for the '90 D'Feeters team.
2004-06 - Assistant coach and trainer for the D'Feeters U/11 and U/12 teams.
2006-08 - Coach and trainer with the D'Feeters Samba Academy.
In 2008, Jeff became the Thanksgiving
Showcase Promotions Coordinator and he will continue to assist the club as the club's
trainer.
